Undiagnosed Ocular Hypertensive...("_)

Assalamualaikum..
selamat petang...

I just came back from Eye care course yesterday...
it was held for 3 days at Hosp Sultanah Zahirah, Kuala Terengganu

Basically, its about refreshing back our knowledge on eye care.
to classify cases need to refer ASAP
cases that need urgent attention
or mana case yg boleh amik appointment kat counter je

yup.. nothing much about updating our knowledge
BUT...since the last time i open my ophthal book ( text book ttg mata) was during my medical student..
so I found it was so enlighting n infomative course!

lots of things had been clarify.
especially regarding management of eye problem in the district setting

On the last day, they made a test
guess wat? im one of the scorer!

yuhooooo....


that was the best part...
and the bad thing was...

I was found having undiagnosed occular hypertensive!
I was selected to be a model ( hahaha cam tau2 je bakat terpendam I)
how to use a tonopen ( a gadget to measure ur pressure in the eye)
and my reading was 23-24!!!
(normal range 9-21)
WAAAAA Im having a high Intraoccular pressure which is also found in patient with GLAUCOMA ( one of the eye diseses that can cause blindness if left untreated)

Guess wat? I was then referred to Ophthal clinic (Klinik mata) to further investigation
habis je course..i hav to go to their clinic!!!

Slit lamp examination was done..
and thanks Allah its unremarkable!
so far my optic disc ratio was still good 0.3
(normal range 0.3-0.4)
And I was given a appointment in 1 month time...
huhuhu

bila pk2 balik..
i do hav on n off headache
but otherwise no other symptom
and so far my vision is good...

ermm maybe terlalu banyak dosa telah dibuat dgn mata ini
sampai mata ini "tertekan"
hehehe sbb tu tekanan mata jd tinggi

Couldnt agree more when people say.. mata adalah nikmat Allah yg selalu disalahgunakan
